Rules and Regulations
Of course we want you to enjoy your week in Blackberry Lake to the fullest, but it has to remain pleasant for everyone and that is why we have drawn up a few rules. Please go through them, this avoids discussions.

  • All fish should be returned to the same spot after a short photo session. In the event of fish theft, we will always take action, including reporting the matter with the competent authorities.
  • We reserve the right to check vehicles at any time.
  • Use of our site and facilities is at your own risk. Blackberry lake SARL and its managers accept no liability in case of accidents, damage or theft.
  • Should the fish spawn, please report this to the guard in order to safeguard the future of Blackberry Lake.
  • Fishing for predatory fish is only allowed with lures, whitefish with match rod, feeder or pole is not allowed!
  • Excessive alcohol and drug use will not be tolerated. Anyone found under the influence will be asked to leave the site and will be blacklisted.
  • Swimming prohibited
  • We closely monitor our fish stock, for fish over 20 kg you can send a picture of both sides of the fish and its weight to info@blackberry-lake.com.
  • Three rods per angler all lined up and fished in the spot you have booked.
  • Please keep to the boundaries of your swim. Fluorescent poles have been placed here.
  • baitboats allowed
  • Only the rowing boats supplied by us may be used, lifejacket obligatory!
  • At the end of your session on Saturday morning, you are expected to leave the site at 11am, anglers starting their week will not be allowed on the site before 1pm.
  • Making fire is not allowed
  • In order to avoid infections of our fish stock, we will provide unhooking mats, disinfectant, weigh slings and landing nets.
  • No carpsacks!
  • Every fish that is likely to weigh over 18 kg must be unhooked in the water and photographed, so make sure you bring a wading suit or waders.
  • No hooks smaller than size 4, micro barb only, no benthook or longshank type hooks
  • We rely on your common sense to use fish-safe systems, make sure the carp can lose the rig in case of line breaking
  • nylon minimum 0.35 mm maximum 0.45mm no backing.
  • no peanuts or tiger nuts , particles (maize, hemp) are allowed if they have been soaked for 24 hours and cooked for at least half an hour.
  • Braided lines are allowed in combination with a short piece (+/- 1 meter) of tube, leadcore or unleaded material leader in order not to damage the scales and flank of the fish.
  • There are no mussel beds on blackberry lake so long shockleaders are not allowed.
  • No rods left unattended under any circumstances!
  • A maximum of 1 rod per person may be fished with zig, the rest must be fished with bottombaits. zig line material may be fished slightly thinner up to 0.30mm.
  • Dogs are allowed if you can keep them in your area and other guests are not disturbed by them. Faeces must be cleaned up.
  • Behave like a fisherman on the waterfront and do not play loud music or shout over the water so that everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet.
  • only paying guests are allowed access to the grounds (plus partner or children), outside visits are not allowed!
  • Please separate your waste according to French standards i.e. glass, PMD and residual waste separately in your bag. You can leave this in containers at the waste collection point at swim 3. Please do not dispose of gas cartridges in the residual waste, this has to be sorted in the same way as batteries and toxic substances in the small hazardous waste.
